Ready to Adopt?
Please remember that adopting an animal is a SERIOUS commitment. Animals may take several weeks or even months to settle into their new environment. They cost money and require lots of attention and love. Please seriously consider your decision to adopt. Sadly, too many animals are adopted and returned simply because people didn't think the adoption through. We suggest that you research what is best for you and plan to participate in a training course so the adoption experience is a positive and lasting one for you and the animal you adopt. It is Ana's Safe Haven Rescue's responsibility to place the animals that we rescue into an environment compatible with their needs and to ensure their adoption is in the best interest of both the animal and the adopter. As such, please answer all questions in the adoption application carefully and completely. Step 1: Please click on the Adoption tab found below the photo of your dog and complete the online application. Step 2: We usually receive many applications for every dog we have up for adoption. Because this is a process, please give us at least a week after you submit your application so we can review all applications received. We will contact the top 2 or 3 applicants that stand out. We then contact their veterinarian to ensure the pets under their care are all up to date on their vaccines and preventatives, we contact their references, we schedule a meet and greet (in TX only) and finally conduct a home visit (virtually) for that one family that we believe will make the best home for our pup. Once everything is approved, we finalize the adoption with a contract. ADOPTION FEES: **ALL ADOPTION FEES COVER TRANSPORT COSTS** Puppies/Young (Altered) & Adults: $500 Puppies With Spay/Neuter Contract: $450 **$100 refunded upon proof of spay/neuter** Seniors (10 YRS & UP): $350 If you have other pets at home, please make sure they are up to date on their yearly vaccines, monthly preventatives and heartworm tests for the last 2 years. Your dogs must also be spayed/neutered. We will contact your vet to verify this information. If the above cannot be verified by your vet, you will not qualify to adopt a dog from us. |
